Jersey City, New Jersey – January 20, 2017 – PowerTrunk, Inc., a subsidiary of Teltronic S.A.U., part of the Sepura Group, announces that Teltronic has been awarded the contract to provide an emergency services TETRA radio communications network in Peru for the Regional Government of Madre de Dios, located in the Peruvian Amazon rain forest.

Valued at approximately $2 million, the network will provide voice and data communication capacity to improve the operations and surveillance activities of the civil defense, public safety, and emergency services organizations in the region.

The complex solution will be provided on a turn-key basis and includes not only the TETRA network infrastructure, but also a fiber-optic backbone, a command and control center, a video surveillance system, and a data application for the transmission and reception in the field of imaging information.

As part of the project, Portalify, also part of the Sepura Group, will provide its IMAGE application integrated in the control center and loaded in the radio terminals, which will allow the users to receive images directly viewable from the display of the radio itself.
