North American LMR customers will now be able to choose between two digital standards, P25 and TETRA

Branded outside North America under the Nebula™ name, the PowerTrunk-T product line has been successfully deployed in utilities, oil and gas, public safety and transportation networks around the world for over ten years. The first North American PowerTrunk-T trials are expected to take place this summer.

The PowerTrunk-T product line consists of a complete infrastructure system, portable radios, mobile radios and a communications center management console. It delivers excellent coverage, security and reliability in a platform designed for efficient implementation and cost-effective scalability. It is the only TETRA product line on the market that is 100% end-to-end IP, with every component engineered to enhance versatility and coverage beyond the standard’s requirements. The PowerTrunk-T HTT-500 portable radio provides a unique 3 watts of RF output for improved coverage, 1 watt of audio, 18+ hours of battery power and the latest features including Bluetooth® connectivity, WAP browser, GPS and man-down capability. The HTT-500 is solid, tough and durable, yet small and light weight.

The PowerTrunk-T MDT-400 mobile radio provides 10 watts of RF output power delivering coverage that is significantly superior to alternatives. A GSM option automatically connects the unit to the telephone network when it is out of the LMR network range. Its extremely versatile design and specialized off-the-shelf solutions can be customized to handle complex applications such as telemetry and transportation.
