New York City, NY — April 25, 2011 –The Argentine Naval Command relied on a PowerTrunk P25 land mobile radio system during the 20th Ibero-American Summit which took place in the city of Mar del Plata in December 2010. This strategically important event for relations between Europe and Latin America brought together the heads of state from 20 Latin American countries, as well as leaders from Spain and Portugal, including the King of Spain.
In response to a request from the Argentine Naval Command Department of Information Technology and Communications, Teltronic S.A.U. and its subsidiary company PowerTrunk Inc. – acting through their representative DAXA Argentina S.A. – provided a digital radio solution based on the P25 standard. This secure communication system guaranteed the effective deployment and performance of personnel from the Argentine Naval Command, one of the three Federal forces in charge of security for this international event.
“The PowerTrunk P25 system provided a secure and robust solution that guaranteed reliable communications during the summit to increase the safety of attending dignitaries,” stated Jose Martin, PowerTrunk’s Chief Operating Officer.
“As Teltronic’s representatives for Argentina, we identified the PowerTrunk25 system as the one with the best fit for the Naval Command’s needs,” confirmed Diego Dominguez, Director, Solutions & Projects, DAXA Argentina S.A.
Teltronic S.A.U. and DAXA, both leaders in the deployment of digital technologies and professional networks, have already implemented TETRA and P25 networks for multiple users in Argentina in recent years. In addition, Teltronic has a wealth of experience supplying secure solutions for other international events such as the 2007 Pan-American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the recent G-20 Summit held in Korea in November 2010
