Teltronic S.A.U. (Spain) opens U.S. Subsidiary to market P25 land mobile radio under the PowerTrunk brand

Land Mobile Radio industry veteran will head US operation

Zaragoza, Spain and New York City, NY — 16 March, 2009 – Teltronic® S.A.U., a global leader in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) design, manufacture and implementation, today announced the extension of its business to North America by establishing PowerTrunk™ Inc. Based in New York City, PowerTrunk is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Teltronic S.A.U. Spain and takes over responsibility for business development, distribution and customer support for LMR projects in the USA and Canada. In addition, the US organization will identify new technologies to complement Teltronic S.A.U.’s product portfolio.

The new operation will be led by industry veteran Jose Martin. As Executive Vice President and COO of PowerTrunk Inc., Mr. Martin is responsible for all North American operations. With over twenty years of experience in the LMR industry, he has spent ten years as Executive Vice President for Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Teltronic S.A.U.

The first product in the PowerTrunk25™ line is an LMR infrastructure system that will be offered in conventional and trunked P25 digital modes and in VHF, UHF and 700/800 MHz bands. Specifically designed for mission-critical applications, PowerTrunk25 is powerful, secure, reliable and software upgradeable to P25 Phase 2.

We will be demonstrating the PowerTrunk25 digital trunked infrastructure system interoperating with other manufacturers’ terminals at the IWCE tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV, on March 18 – 20, Booth # 957.
